Tremendous black and white composition Serge! Love the contrasts and many details on the facades... By the way, I was there during last weekend, the dark building at the corner being housing a famous Italian restaurant. The only little reproach under my opinion : the water looks too quiet, then too much as if it would be just ice for skating. Maybe is that the effect you wanted to give to the whole image but it freezes it a little bit.

Hi Serge - Wonderful black and white lanscape photo. The tones are well balanced and the very long exposure makes all the difference. Congrats! HA

Bonjour Serge, quelle photo impressionnante.

Hello Serge, what an impressive photo. I love the effect of the long exposure that turns the surface of the canals into a mirror of ice, and that transforms the clouds into rays that highlight the buildings. The contrast between black and white brings out all the architectural details. The light seems unreal and we hesitate between full day and almost night ... The use of black and white is perfect, I am very admiring!

Technically it would improve the treatment of the sky, and I think that a somewhat more defined sky would give more strength and depth to the photo. As for the B / W, I love the coughs you've got.

Gruss Klaus

Image composition and perspective are extremely well done here. The buildings have an impressive sharpness, especially the windows with the frames. Very good. The water surface and sky are naturally very smooth due to the long exposure. Looks very nice. The already mentioned halos don't bother (me) at all. Greetings Klaus

Excellent work! Well chosen moment and soft light, great effect with long exposure, very special mood. Also very nice post-processing, great B&W tones. Very well composed. The only little problem is the sky looks a bit artificial, especially because there are slight halos around the building's tops, even more around the tree on the right. Still worthy to publish.
